Frequently Asked Questions
How do I log a workout?
Tap "Start Workout" on the home screen. Then hit the mic button and talk through your sets naturally — "I just did 4 sets of bench, 135, 155, 175, 185." AI transcribes and structures everything automatically.
Can I use it on Apple Watch?
Yes. Start a workout from your watch and record voice moments from your wrist. Heart rate and calories track automatically. Data syncs to your phone when the workout ends.
What do I say during a workout?
Talk naturally. "Squat day, worked up to 225 for 3." or "Did 3 sets of pull-ups to failure, then some curls, 30 pound dumbbells for 12." The AI figures out the structure.
Do I need an OpenAI API key?
The app comes ready to use. If you want to use your own API key, you can add it in Settings.
Where is my data stored?
All workout data is stored locally on your device. Voice recordings are sent to OpenAI for transcription and immediately discarded — never stored on any server. See our privacy policy.
Does it sync with Apple Health?
Yes. Every completed workout writes to Apple Health as a strength training session — duration, heart rate, calories. If you already track workouts in Health, M2M fits right in.
What's the Trainer?
An AI coach that knows your workout history. Ask it anything — programming advice, form tips, what to focus on. You can customize its personality in Settings under "Trainer Soul."
What if the app closes during a workout?
Your workout saves automatically as you go. Reopen the app and you'll see your active session right where you left it.
How do I change the AI coaching style?
Go to Settings → Trainer Soul. Choose your fitness goal, experience level, training style, and coaching tone (gym bro, drill sergeant, science-based, chill coach, or stoic mentor).
